The Dolomiti Ampezzane

Called also "monti pallidi" (pale mountains) because of the caracteristic colour that they have during the sunset, these mountains have several winter resorts. The most famous one is Cortina d'Ampezzo with its exclusive tourism, you can find here exclusive shops along Corso Italia and elegant cafès, favourite meeting-point of show business people.

Or you can reach the most famous peaks by cableway as Tofane and Cristallo.

Not far crossing the pass of Falzarego you arrive to Corvara, Canazei, Ortisei important winter resorts. Interesting is also the Lake of Misurina.

The cooking is excellent, you can taste the local dishes, "casciunzei", "speck ", and "strudel".
