The Medieval splendour of Treviso is shown by its several monuments: the Piazza dei Signori, and the XIIIth century palace of " dei Trecento " that overlooks the square. Not far stands the Romanesque Duomo and the imposing church of San Nicolò.
Pictoresque are the several streams as Sile and Botteniga that run and meet in the centre of the town.
The gastronomy here is excellent so as the famous wines of this area; Tocai, Merlot, Cabernet, Cartize and Prosecco to name but a few. Asolo, during the Renaissance period, was court of Caterina Cornaro, Giacomo di Lusignano's widow, King of Cyprus. Pietro Membo described very well in its "Asolani" the life of this period of glory. In villa Maser, property of the patrick Family Barbaro, the visitor can admire the splendid frescoes by Paolo Veronese.
From here you can reach Marostica crossing the river Brenta trough the famous bridge of Bassano. The square of Marostica, covered with polychrome marbles, is famous for the living game of chess.
From the castle Superiore you can admire the magnificient view of the surroundings countries, rich of villas by Palladio. Feltre will receive you with its interesting XVIth century architectures.
